Africa is one of the world’s seven continents and the second largest to Asia with an area of 30,370,000km2 (11,730,000mi2). Africa is also second to Asia in the standings for population with a grand total of 1,022,234,000 people which Having grown from its humble roots to a place full of beautiful scenery, extravagant wildlife and spectacular culture

Africa is one of the world’s seven continents. It is the world’s second largest continent and has the second most population (coming after Asia in both categories). Covering 30,370,000km(11,730,000mi2), Africa makes up 6% of the total area and 20.4% of the total land area. Also with 1,022,234,000 people is also account for almost 15% of the world’s population.

Focused around the equator and surrounded by both 2 seas (Mediterranean and Red) and 2 Oceans (Indian and Atlantic), Africa is a central part to the world map. It is made up of 54 countries with a wide range of diverse cultural backgrounds and it is also widely regarded by scientists as the place credited with the origins of human beings.

From its roots it has become a fantastic place with fantastic people, vivid wildlife and fascinating cultural diversity. Due to its fine weather conditions it is fast becoming a tourist haven with many people choosing to explore the wildlife and vivid cultures.
