Clothing and Equipment on African Overland Adventures:
|

The baggage allowance with adventure
participation travel is one backpack (or similar) plus sleeping bag,
up to a maximum of 20 kgs per person. Travel light and remember clothes
should be easy to wash and dry, but avoid nylon and other synthetics
that can be very uncomfortable in hot weather. Please also remember
that Africa can be colder than you might expect, particularly at night
and in the early morning. Check out our temperature

Long sleeve shirts, t-shirts, shorts,
long trousers, jeans, tracksuit pants, sweatshirts, hat, water/windproof
jacket, comfortable walking shoes (boots or trainers/sneakers), sandals
or thongs and a swimming costume are recommended for overland adventures.

Other items that could be included on our overland tours |

Sleeping bag, towel, sunscreen, water
bottle, mosquito repellent, torch and batteries, personal toiletries,
toilet paper, camera and film (film can be expensive and difficult
to obtain in some places so digital cameras are often a better idea), spare camera batteries, binoculars, alarm
clock, personal radio, mp3 player or discman, copy of passport, extra passport
