Malawi is a smallish, landlocked country wedged between Mozambique,
Zambia and Tanzania, and dominated by the tranquil waters of Lake
Malawi. Lake Malawi is the third-largest lake in Africa and covers
almost a fifth of Malawi 's total area. This is the greatest attraction
for visitors to this peaceful place. Malawi is well-known for its
friendly people, golden shores and stunning natural scenery.
You can't travel overland to Malawi without enjoying the pleasures
of Lake Malawi, the third largest lake in Africa. Many adventure water
sports are available. Lake Malawi has more species of fish than any
other inland body of water in the world.

US dollars are widely accepted. It is a good idea
to have some travellers' cheques on hand, although cash will bring
better exchange rates. Credit cards are near useless outside the capital
