In the very north of Malawi, on the Nyika Plateau, is the Nyika National Park. This is the largest and oldest of Malawi’s national parks and has the highest concentration of leopards in Central Africa. Here you will be able to enjoy game drives and horse safaris and in the spring you will able to see hundreds of species of orchids in the grasslands. Also in the Northern Highlands area is the Vwaza Marsh Game Reserve with its large concentration of game. This reserve is easily accessible both by car from Rumphi and by public transport.
