Inhassoro lies directly opposite the northern point of Bazaruto Island. This small fishing village has a relaxed atmosphere, and many travellers now choose to base their holiday here rather than in the bigger, busier town of Vilanculos (80km to the south).
The area is well-known for diving and fishing, with beautiful stretches of beach perfectly suited for doing nothing at all.
There are a number of restaurants, as well as a few lively beach bars serving ice cold 'Dos M' beers. Accommodation ranges from exclusive fishing lodges to camping facilities. A popular choice is Hotel Seta, set right on the beach with chalets and a good restaurant sheltered by tall mahogany trees.
