Day 1: Travel Along the Panorama Route
Leave Johannesburg - 'The City of Gold' - and head through the Mpumalanga province towards the reknowned Kruger National Park. This area is commonly known as the Panorama Route, known for its spectacular views of the lowveld.

Today you'll see the Blyde River Canyon - known for the Three Rondavels, fascinating rock spirals rising out of the far side of the canyon, God's Window and Bourke's Luck Potholes. Spend your evening just outside of Kruger.

Days 2-3: Explore Kruger National Park

Enjoy an early morning visit to a wildlife rehabilitation centre for an educational experience before entering Kruger National Park. The next 2 days are spent exploring the southern part of this vast reserve, an area known for its abundant game and frequent Big 5 sightings.

An optional night drive with one of the South African National Park (SANP) rangers is an excellent way to see some of the nocturnal animals of the park, particularly leopard, honey badgers and serval.

Another optional activity is a guided walk at dawn with one of the SANP rangers - a wonderful opportunity to get up close to big game.

Location: Kruger National Park, South Africa
Days 4-5: Journey to Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary

Today you'll leave the Kruger Park behind and cross the border into Swaziland. Spend the next 2 nights in the Mlilwane Nature Reserve, a wildlife sanctuary which you are able to explore on foot. [p]You'll also be able to experience the wonderful Swazi culture and hospitality first-hand by visiting a traditional village nearby. Spend time mountain-biking, hiking and horse-riding through the reserve - a great way to enjoy the surroundings (own expense).

Days 6-7: Enjoy Coastal St Lucia & Durban

Leaving Swaziland and travel through the subtropical KwaZulu Natal region towards the Indian Ocean. Spend the afternoon exploring the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park - the largest estuarine body of water in South Africa, and where you'll spend the night.

The following day journey down the coast to Durban - a vibrant coastal city known for its diverse culture, beaches and warm temperatures. Enjoy a night out at one of Durban's Indian restaurants (own expense).

Days 8-9: Get Active in the Drakensberg

Travel from the KwaZulu-Natal coast to the Royal Natal National Park and the mighty Drakensberg escarpment - South Africa's highest mountain range.

The next day is spent at leisure. You can choose any of the local activities such as horse-riding, hiking or mountain-biking as a means to explore your beautiful surroundings.

Days 10-11: Arrive in Lesotho

After a long but scenic drive through the Sani Pass, you'll arrive in the Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho. When border formalities are completed you'll ascend into the mountains to your rustic overnight spot.

The next day those going on the optional Pony Trek will ride into the remote hills of Lesotho accompanied by local guides. If you choose to remain behind you can simply relax or visit the local village, school or craft market.

Days 12-13: Head Down to Coffee Bay

Leave the mountainous country of Lesotho behind and descend the escarpment to Coffee Bay, one of the most beautiful spots on the Wild Coast, and where you'll stay for 2 nights.

Spend your day lazing on the beach or taking a walk to see the famous 'Hole in the Wall' rock formation. Enjoy an optional excursion to a local Xhosa village to meet and chat with some of the community.

Day 14: Search for Elephant in Addo
Today your group will head down the coast and inland into the Eastern Cape, where you'll spend a night in the Addo Elephant National Park.

Enjoy a late afternoon game drive and be on the lookout for the Big 5, as well as the numerous elephant herds, providing excellent photographic opportunities.

Days 15-16: Bungee Jump at Tsitsikamma

After an early morning game drive you'll bid farewell to the elephants and drive further along the Sunshine Coast until you reach Tsitsikamma National Park. This beautiful coastal park provides you with some amazing hikes, including the first section of the well-known Otter Trail.

Enjoy the peaceful surroundings and the thick vegetation of this natural forest. Take a trip to Bloukrans bridge where you can try out a 216m bungee jump - the highest in Africa.

Day 17: Go Shopping in Knysna

It is a short distance from the Tsitsikamma Forest to Knysna, where there are many activities on offer and the chance to explore this interesting town.

Go fishing on the lagoon, shopping in the town and waterfront or abseil off the Knysna Heads - the choice is yours.

Day 18: Visit the Ostriches in Oudtshoorn
Today you'll travel inland via the spectacular Outeniqua Mountains to the town of Oudtshoorn, where you'll enjoy a tour of the Cango Caves - a massive series of caves stretching on for several miles. In the afternoon you have the option of visiting an Ostrich Farm and enjoying an ostrich ride.

Day 19: Dine & Wine in Stellenbosch

After breakfast set off for Stellenbosch, a picturesque university town in the Western Cape known for its fine wine farms. As this is the last night on tour you will go out to a local restaurant for dinner.

In the whale season (between June and November), you'll spend the day in Hermanus where you may have the opportunity to spot whales in the bay.

Day 20: Set Off For Cape Town
After a leisurely breakfast, you'll set off to do some wine tasting in some of the Stellenbosch wine estates before reaching central Cape Town where your journey ends.
