x The tour begins in Cape Town before you head north for the Cederberg Mountain region, well-known as one of the main Rooibos Tea-growing areas in South Africa, where after you head for Namibia and explore The Fish River Canyon, Namib-Naukluft National Park, Sossusvlei Dunes, Swakopmund, Spitzkoppe, the Himba Tribes, Etosha National Park and lastly the capital, Windhoek.

Day 1: Cederberg Mountain Region
You depart Cape Town with its magnificent Table Mountain and head north for the Cederberg Mountain region. Cederberg is well-known as one of the main Rooibos Tea growing areas in South Africa and its also home of beautiful wildflowers in October. On this first afternoon you go for a guided walk to see Bushmen paintings and learn about the surrounding environment.

Day 2: Namaqualand & Orange River
You travel north through Namaqualand and head for the Orange/Gariep River. The Western Cape is soon left behind and you spend most of the afternoon travelling through the Northern Cape Province of South Africa. The night is spent on the banks of the Orange/Gariep River around the campfire, getting to know one another. The river forms the border of South Africa and Namibia.

Day 3: Namibia & Fish River Canyon
Choose between a relaxing morning on the riverbank or the half day canoe adventure on the river. After lunch you travel north to the Fish River Canyon, the second largest in the world. The Fish River is the longest river in Namibia at 650 km in length and the canyon is situated along the lower reaches of this seasonal river. Day 4: Namib-Naukluft National Park
From the canyon you continue on into the remote Namibian hinterland. You arrive at camp in the afternoon and have time to go for a walk to the smaller Sesriem Canyon.

Day 5: Sossusvlei Dunes
Taking advantage of the cooler temperatures you depart at dawn and drive into the Namib-Naukluft Park where you hike up Dune 45 to gain a different perspective of the desert. After breakfast you will join a local expert on a guided hike into the desert.

Days 6 - 7: Swakopmund
A dramatic drive takes you through the arid Namib-Naukluft, crossing the Tropic of Capricorn, as you head towards the seaside resort town of Swakopmund on Namibia's Atlantic coast. You will then be briefed on the many optional activities available in the area. Great things like sandboarding, sky diving, scenic flights, fishing. Day 7 is left free to pursue your own interests, explore the town or doing one of the many adventures activities on offer.

Day 8: Spitzkoppe
You leave all the trappings of modern life behind you and drive inland to the mysterious Spitzkoppe, a sacred site of the San people. You have the chance to climb the boulders and rock formations. Tonight you camp in the wild, under a star-filled sky.

Day 9: Himba Tribes
After some early morning exploration you head inland again and drive north towards Kamanjab. Here you will meet the Himba tribe. They are a pastoral people and predominantly breed cattle or goats, they are easily recognisable by their unique style of dress. Encountering a totally different way of life is a moving experience for many people.
Days 10 - 11: Etosha National Park
Etosha National Park provides some of the most unique game viewing experiences in Africa. You will go on various game drives and spend your evenings at the abundant waterholes for some excellent game photography.
Days 12: Windhoek
After an early morning game drive you set off towards Windhoek, the campital in the centre of the country. On the way we stop at a popular craft market for some last minute shopping. In the afternoon we go on a short city tour, after which the tour will end. Optional Activity: Join everyone for dinner at Joe's Beer House.
