The overland expedition vehicles are custom designed with your comfort
in mind. They have forward facing seating, large windows excellent for
photography and game viewing. Each vehicle is fitted with a safe, specially
designed kitchen area with gas cooker, ample storage space for food stocks,
deep freezers, cooling facilities, storage space for luggage and equipment.

All trips call for participation in camp and cooking duties.

Anyone participating in an overland expedition, must be in good health.
Medical facilities are not readily available in some of the remote areas
visited. All personal prescription medication should be carried with
you, together with a copy of the prescription. Your guide should be advised
of any existing medical co nditions
you may have. Precautions against malaria, yellow fever and cholera should
be taken for the prescribed areas.

An age restriction for camping overland expeditions is minimum 16 and
maximum 55 years. For accommodated expeditions the maximum age restriction
is 70 years.

Your baggage allowance is one medium sized travel bag/backpack or soft
bag, plus sleeping bag, not exceeding 20kg. Excess luggage will not be
loaded onto the vehicle. Check out the weather conditions for a general idea of what to pack.

Changes to Routes/Schedules |

Every effort is made to adhere to scheduled and planned routes. The
Company reserves the right to occasionally alter the itinerary accordingly,
due to changing conditions or to make up any lost time due to any unforeseen
circumstances. In the unlikely event of a vehicle breakdown that is beyond
anyones control and immediate repair, the Company will not be responsible
for the cost of any accommodation other than camping (except on accommodated
trips where alternative accommodation will be sourced) and will not be
liable for any airfares or any other compensation to the client.

A full list of items will be issued on receipt and confirmation of your
reservation. We suggest you travel light. Please pack warm clothes for
the winter months of June to September. Further items should include a
torch, water bottle, spare film and camera batteries, binoculars, suntan
lotion, comfortable walking shoes and any prescription medication.

Cancellations are only effective on receipt of written notification.

You will require a passport. Please ensure that your passport is valid
and that you have the necessary visas and health documentation for the
countries being visited, including the necessary health and baggage insurance
which is compulsory. Should you not hold this insurance, it will be necessary
to purchase it prior to departure. It is your responsibility to ensure
that these documents are in order before departure. The Company takes
no responsibility for anyone whose travel documents are not correct.

All overland expeditions
originating in Cape Town depart from the Nomad Adventure Centre, 204 Long
Street, Cape Town at 08h30. Please ensure that you are at the meeting
point by 08h15. Please ensure that you refer to the fact sheets for the
relevant departure information for all expeditions.

Anyone with special dietary requirements is requested to advise us in
writing at least one week prior to departure. Every effort will be made
to supply the required diet, given that some of the areas travelled through
are quite remote and supplies are sometimes scarce.

All passengers will be required to sign an indemnity form before embarking
on the tour. Any person refusing to do so will not be allowed on the tour.

Please complete the enclosed booking form and return it to our offices
together with a non-refundable deposit of 25%. On receipt of your deposit
we will reserve your place on the tour, subject to availability. On confirmation
of a reservation, a detailed trip briefing will be issued to you. Please
ensure that you receive this briefing before departing on your trip. The
booking is considered confirmed when you receive your confirmation details.
Final payment must reach us by no later than 4 weeks prior to departure,
failing which we reserve the right to cancel the reservation.
